AI is surprisingly good at finding any broken parts of your practice.
Every Process Has A Weak Spot
Patient onboarding, billing, scheduling, referral intake. Every specialty practice runs a handful of processes so routine that nobody’s looked closely at them in years. That’s usually exactly where the friction hides: the extra step nobody remembers the reason for, the handoff with no clear owner, the manual workaround that started as a temporary fix.
The Prompt To Copy And Paste
Leave out passwords and private data. Just describe the steps. Then copy and paste this:
“I’m going to describe how we handle [patient onboarding / billing / scheduling, pick one] at my practice. Here’s how it works step by step: [walk through each step]. Now sort your observations into: possible bottlenecks, risks, manual steps that could be simplified, steps with no clear owner, and opportunities for automation.”
What To Do With What Comes Back
You won’t act on everything it flags. You’ll almost always find one thing that matters, and during Cybersecurity Awareness Month, it’s worth paying particular attention to anything AI flags as a risk, not just a bottleneck. A process gap and a security gap often turn out to be the same thing.
Try It This Week
- Pick one process that’s been bugging you: onboarding, billing, or scheduling
- Walk AI through it step by step, leaving out any private data
- Review what it flags as a risk, not just what it flags as slow
