Most practices collect reviews and do nothing with them beyond showing a star rating. That’s a missed opportunity.

Reviews Are Sitting There Doing Nothing

Between Google, Healthgrades, and patient satisfaction surveys, most specialty practices, whether ENT, dermatology, OBGYN, orthopedics, or oral surgery, are already sitting on a real body of patient feedback. Almost none of it gets read past the star average. That’s understandable; nobody has time to sit down and read two hundred reviews looking for patterns. AI does.

The Prompt To Copy And Paste

This week’s tip: copy a batch of your recent reviews into an AI tool with this prompt. Strip out patient names and any identifying details first, even though the reviews themselves are public.

“Here are recent customer reviews for my business. Read through them and tell me: 1. The top 3 things customers consistently say they’re happy with 2. The top 3 things they mention as problems or areas to improve 3. Which of these observations show up repeatedly, versus which are based on just one review. [Paste reviews here]”

What You Get Back

You’ll get a clear, honest summary of what your patients actually think, without a spreadsheet, tagging, or hours of reading.

Do this quarterly. The patterns that keep showing up are the ones worth acting on, whether that’s a scheduling bottleneck three different reviews mention, or a specific team member who keeps getting praised by name.

Try It This Week

  • Pull your last 20 to 30 reviews from Google or wherever you collect them
  • Remove patient names and identifying details, even from public reviews
  • Run them through the prompt above
  • Look for the pattern that shows up more than once. That’s the one worth acting on
