Staying active on social media is one of those tasks that feels small but eats time, and generic posts rarely get read anyway.

Stop Starting With A Blank Theme

Most social content calendars start with a made-up theme: “This week let’s talk about wellness,” or “Let’s post about our team.” It’s not that those posts are wrong, they just rarely say anything a patient couldn’t already guess. The better starting point is something that actually happened this week, whether that’s a question a patient asked at check-in, a procedure you get asked about often, or a common misunderstanding you find yourself correcting.

The Prompt To Copy And Paste

This week’s tip: instead of picking a broad theme, use something that actually happened. A question a patient recently asked. A procedure you just performed. A common misconception you keep correcting.

“Here’s a question a patient recently asked me: [question]. Write three short social posts that answer it from different angles. Don’t mention the patient by name. Make each post genuinely useful, not promotional.”

Fill in the brackets with your own details, then copy and paste directly into ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, or any AI tool.

Keep It From Sounding Like An Ad

Review it, adjust anything that doesn’t sound like you, and schedule it. Real material makes better content than a made-up theme, and it takes the same 15 minutes.

One healthcare-specific note: keep the question general enough that no real patient could be identified, even indirectly, before you post anything drawn from an actual conversation.

Try It This Week

  • Think of one question a patient genuinely asked this week
  • Run it through the prompt above
  • Edit the three posts until they sound like your practice, not a generic AI tool
  • Schedule them across the week instead of posting all three at once
