The Customer

With two locations, Chris Hughes, DMD, Oral Surgery & Dental Implants (CHOSDI) practices a full scope of oral and maxillofacial surgery with expertise ranging from dental implant surgery and wisdom tooth removal to techniques designed to rebuild bone structure with minimal surgical intervention and optimal patient comfort.

The Challenge

CHOSDI has been a leading oral surgery provider in central Mississippi since 2005. The practice is headquartered in Clinton, and recently opened a satellite location in Vicksburg. According to its founder, Dr. Chris Hughes, CHOSDI had given the keys to several IT consultants and smaller firms through the years, but none seemed to ever have things working quite the way they were supposed to.

The addition of the Vicksburg satellite office was the tipping point – as lots of complicated IT problems arose trying to connect the two offices online. Dr. Hughes went through three or four consultants – each of which over-promised and under-delivered. After being advised to purchase “a bunch of equipment I did not need and IT solutions labor that did not work” it was time to switch to a full-time, full-service IT firm capable of getting the job done once-and-for-all.

The Solution

A friend introduced Dr. Hughes to Todd Gooden at The Solutions Team. Founded in 2007 in Jackson, Miss., The Solutions Team (TST) is a national managed services provider of IT support serving clients in 40 states in the healthcare, dental, legal and construction fields.

From the first meeting with Todd and his team, Dr. Hughes felt comfortable that TST had the expertise to fix the problems while, just as important, shooting straight with him throughout the process. In roughly four to six weeks from their initial consultation, that is precisely what they did.
